In the back of his mind, he knew there was never a chance anything would happen between them. Ronnie was straight and Damarquis was gay. Even if by some miracle something happened between them, Marcus wouldn't know if it were real or if Ronnie was simply toying with him. It was hard to read him, even though he was a pretty straightforward guy. If only Ronnie knew that Damarquis had a crush on him since high Freshman year, but hadn't built up the will to tell him for fear of ruining their friendship. Still, there was another he had a crush on, two crushes and not a single one had he told about his desires. Instead, he opted for friendship, believing it to be the way to overcome his inner feelings, and in truth, it had worked, that is until he saw them again. He put on a charade to mask it, and it worked. He was thankful for his skills and was willing to go throughout life without telling a single soul about his secret. As Eva continued to rest her arm on his shoulder, he wondered if she was getting tired or sore from her arm being elevated for so long. He noticed Penny arrive and was thrilled to spend more time with her. Out of all his friends, he felt that he wasn't as close to her as he wanted to be, but even still he was happy to see her. Everyone was conversing and he didn't interject much during the conversation, a simple yes or no, and perhaps a bit of flare here and there made them aware of his presence, but he still remained in the back of the conversation which wasn't like him at all. Then it hit him. Brandon and Amelia were missing. Just as Alex suggested a few fun things for them to do, he knew that Alex was the last person who actually wanted to partake in the games he had suggested, but Marcus was all for it. "Ya know I think all of those are good ideas," he said throwing a wink in Alex's direction. "Definitely spin the bottle," he added before Eva began to speak. As the group continued to talk, Damarquis began to wonder where Amelia and Brandon were. Then he heard Brandon's voice followed by a light punch in his arm. "POOH BEAR!" Damarquis screeched as he wrapped his arms around Brandon's neck squeezing as tight as he could before letting him go. "Well you know how I do," Marcus stated with a smirk as he tooted his own horn regarding the graduation speech, "no hard feelings right Pooh Bear?" He asked after Brandon told them where Piglet and Amelia were. He was excited to get things started and knew this would be more memorable for each of them than they thought. "Wait a minute, where the hell is Fashionista?" He asked. That was his nickname for Jocelyn. She was his fashion sister and he enjoyed talking trends with her. He noticed Bunny and Piglet walking by the foyer and smiled as she waved. She was so innocent and he returned the wave.
