Name:Ptolemy Hearthfire Sex: Male Race: Human (Fetch) Age: 58 Occupation: Retired Knight Power: Psyche Manipulation (AstralProjection,Mind over Matter Healing) History: Ptolemy Hearthfire was a brave soul. He was a wise and kind man. He served under the Royal Family for 35 years, first as a squire, and eventually he joined the ranger knights that patrolled the highways of the kingdom. Eventually he retired to the comfortable home his service afforded him. He was not the most renowned Knight in the land, but he was respected in his division, and in retirement he was well taken care of and visited often by his only grandson. Thirteen days ago, Ptolemy passed. He felt a pain in his chest, a tight gripping sensation around his whole body, then a slow easy release that felt... Cold but not cold like snow. Cold like a smooth stone one would find on the mossy forest floor. Ten days ago, Ptolemy was not dead. He was confused. He wasn't supposed to be back. He wasn't a religious man, he didn't have unfinished business. Why had this happened? He opened up his crypt. Once he had resurfaced from the catacombs he was met by the horrified eyes of his former squire. He remembered now that he had been promoted to guard over the crypts ceremonially. "Not you too... Ptolemy..." He said. "What do you mean?" He thrust a glowing gem into Ptolemy's hands and became intensely sorrowful. "This power... This plague... It's unnatural... I'm sorry Ptolemy, but you had your time." Ptolemy didn't understand, but he knew that undeath was unnatural and he didn't want any part of it. "Do what you must, Son" he bowed his head. A moment passed. Ptolemy heard the sounds of unsheathing... Followed by the sounds of a sword returning to its scabbard. "Just go... They can't have two Hearthfire's this day..." "WHat?!Who? Who of my kin has been taken?" The former squire shook his head. "When the stone glows they take you. No matter how old or young, or how loyal your name. No matter how rich or poor. It doesn't seem right, Sir Ptolemy. If you are any semblance of the man you once were, perhaps you can get to the bottom of this. Perhaps they haven't hurt your grandson... Just GO. Please sir..." And so he did. He ran, shocked and confused and angry, he ran for the familiarity of the sullen woods on the outskirts of Oranzo. Character Flaw: Well for one he is now a half-undead character, and therefore looks like a very sickly ill old man. But personality wise, he had always been the more reckless of the knights in combat. He is wise before and after, but in the heat of battle he is animalistic, much to the horror of his fellow knights. He also has a soft spot for his only grandchild.
