Though a few questions.

what would be the responsibilities of an engineer (I've got an character in mind for this one)? Is it exclusively maintenance/repair of the vessel and other mechanical instruments? Demolition of high priority targets? do they play a combat role?

For another character, It is from a custom alien race I devised a couple months back. In essence, it is much like the Formless Spawn that serve Tsathoggua in Lovecraftian lore, though it has the ability to change it's appearance (with limitations). this one I think would work in a assassin/recon type of role. So the question is, would you allow this character? This character is one that I really want to use sometime as I haven't before, and I am willing to alter it to some extent in order to fit the RP better. If not, I'll either fill the last Engineer slot or boarding party.
