[@FreeRanged] It would be a bit silly of me to think that the introduction of species to an entire planet would only be handled by one character, I have no issue with the similarities in our characters as long as [@Heat] is good to go with it.  In fact I can see a lot of character development possibilities.  I am steering Deacon to be more of a specialist, genetically altering species in order to adapt their circadian rhythms to non-24-hour worlds.  I could see him working closely with your character in the field, observing the species behaviors and collecting data to ensure the modifications take hold with no ill-effects.
