The winged beast sees Danny’s attack and then decides to make its moves toward evasion. The beast builds up energy inside its body then a seconds divides into at least a hundred which just look like it. Danny’s attack hit one of them, but it wasn’t the right one. An explosion occurred which caused a shockwave to shake within the air which all the others could feel as all the others disappeared then the beast was behind the group. Tsukiko turned her eyes and saw the beast was behind them where it started to charge up energy inside its mouth which looked like it was about to release a massive attack. Quickly noticing the beast behind them, Nathan propelled himself to it with a blast of fire. When he was close enough he lashed out at the underside of it’s head, forcing it’s mouth to point to the sky. Not taking any chances, Danny set up a barrier around the group (sans Nathan) and then froze it into ice. Erica cursed as she turned to face the giant bird. Upon seeing the charging energy, Erica gritted her teeth. She bend her knees before kicking against the ground. Launching herself at the bird, Erica intended to either prevent the charge, or failing that, redirect its aim by making the creature topple down on its back. The beast rather than firing a blast at the ground refocused its energy into its wings and let off a powerful gust that took the formation of a tornado. The tornado spun in a vortex circular formation as it made its way toward the group, ripping trees from the foundations and firing them at the barrier that was erected. A person wearing a cloak that covered their entire body other than a few strands of red crimson hair that you could see barely peeking out of her hood motioned her hands where the fancy jewel like sword in her hand divided into fragments. She erected a star shaped symbol where the five fragments that made up the sword formed an glyph. Materializing an energy sword in her hand she slashed vertically three times which released powerful waves of energy that help dispel the vortex that surrounded the beast and delivered the energy that helped form its attack into nothingness. She then closed her hand and whispered the words “Encage” where the glyph ensnared itself around the beast target and trapped it inside the glyph which warped into a cube. She closed her eyes, where the sword fragments reformed into the sword she was holding earlier where she created a new glyph on the ground which enveloped around the people in the barrier. They could feel a very powerful force being called forth to help aid them. Just as she was about to deliver the final blow, the beast managed to get off its blast of energy earlier which hit her head on she opened her eyes and tried to avoid it but it was too late. The beast was about to hit her with a second shot when something unexpected happened. Meanwhile, the people in the circle felt a very powerful tingling energy enveloping them. As the attack rushed forward, it stopped mid-air as though caught by an invisible wall. When the attack burst forward with energy, it became clear what stopped the attack: threads that glistened from the sudden burst of light. The threads then began to move towards the creature and began to wrap around it. Another wall of threads came from the other side of the creature and did the same. Following the threads back to their source, a person would see a feline Nekrian in an azure dress. “Now, stop standing around and finish this thing.” she said in a calm yet urgent meanor. Nathan turned to Danny “open a hole for me, quick!” Not bothering to ask why, Danny did just that. Once it was big enough, Nathan rushed out of the ice barrier to the unconscious girl. Picking her up in his arms, he ran back to the barrier and through the hole. “Hurry and close it! I think something’s about to happen!” Danny was already doing that as Nathan spoke; filling up the hole with water that he then froze into ice, patching up the hole. Erica was hit directly by the tornado as she was in the middle of her charge and was launched back and upwards. Her body whirled past the group before disappearing out of sight into the treeline. Just as she was blown away, a man dressed in black and red clothing catches Erica as she is sent flying and makes his way toward the ground. He was going to attack the beast which is trapped in a binding spell, but he is distracted when he sees someone he knows in trouble. Another figure dressed in black appeared. Tsukiko looked over toward him and she could have sworn it was him again. The man drove his sword into the air then plunged it violently into the ground as darkness swelled around the tornado and dispelled it. Meanwhile, while the girl was unconscious inside Nathan’s arms he could feel a very warm sensation emanating from her body. A red haired figure with wings appeared out of the golden like energy that was left off by her body. The woman feasted her eyes upon Nathan then asked him a question as the girl’s body began to swell and get warmer and warmer. “Does thou desireth thee power to conquer the master of the storms?” The angelic figure asked Nathan as she fluttered up in the air using her wings to keep her skyward. In all honesty; it would probably be for the best if Nathan didn’t suddenly get more power, especially if he couldn’t control it. That was assuming that this offer was for real, and not some sort of trap. Seeing as how no one else seemed to be reacting to this woman...whoever she was. Nathan didn’t have a clue who she could be, although it didn’t really matter to him either way. ‘I really hope I don’t end up regretting this’ Nathan sighed before responding to her “if that’s what it takes to beat that thing...then yes.” Danny, who couldn’t see the woman and only heard Nathan was understandable confused “Nathan, please tell me you’re not hallucinating. Because this is a really bad time for you to be going nuts” “Power is never beyond one’s grasp. One must just know where to look to find it. Allow me to help you discover the hidden power inside of you. Your hidden potential. Power of this kind is Beyond Logic, but not beyond one’s grasp. Look deep into yourself and you’ll find it. I’ll help you hone it with this.” She said as she materialized a shiny sparkling gemstone that looked rainbowy. She then lowered the gemstone down toward Nathan. As the stone approached Nathan, the girl’s body continued to react, this time getting even warmer as the stone approached him. One had to wonder, what was this girl’s connection to the woman that only Nathan could see who materialized out of the girl’s body. “This object can manifest into anything you want it to. Including any weapon of your choice.” She added as she to palm her hand down flat with her palm facing toward the sky and used her psychological power to drop the stone into Nathan’s hands. “It is up to you how you use it.” She finished as she turned back into light and shot back into the girl’s body where Nathan could feel something hot in hands like someone had dropped a heated iron into his hands. A weapon...well that was unexpected. Nathan had thought that the power she offered would be something less physical, and more magical...or something like that. On top of that, Nathan never learned how to use any kind of weapon, since he found the idea of carrying around and learning to use tools designed to make killing easier very unpleasant. This was never a problem before, but now…now it was. ‘Maybe I should just get a sword. Eh, but then I’d have to learn how to use one, and it would throw me off a lot. And I don’t like the idea of using one anyway; swords are too deadly, not like punching...things...’ Nathan slapped himself “I’m such an idiot” it seemed so obvious to him now. Channeling his thoughts to the gem, it started to glow as it took on a new form; a gauntlet covering his hand. “Yeah” Nathan flexed his hand, testing it out “this should work” Danny, who had been watching him the whole time, decided to speak now “I have no idea what just happened, but I think it means that you're not going crazy, which is definitely a good thing” “Yeah” Nathan agreed. He really didn’t want to know what would happen if he suddenly went insane. “Open a hole, I’m going to try punching it.” “You sure that’s a good idea?” “No clue, but I think that’s what I’m supposed to do now.” Not having any other ideas, Danny opened a hole in the ice dome for Nathan “try not to die” “No promises” Nathan replied as he stepped out. Taking a few moment to prepare himself mentally, Nathan poured all the energy he could into his covered fist. Once he was satisfied, he lept up at the beast and punched it... ...Really... ...Really... ...Really... ...Hard. Just as Nathan was punching the ground started to shake violently, a light shot down from the sky out of nowhere and into his orb. The light engulfed his orb and it began to swell and take shape and form. The shape of the orb formed what weapon of preference he wanted. A second gauntlet embraced both his fist as he punched. He could feel a negative and uneasy energy embrace him from within. Just as he could feel, Tsukiko felt a little dizzy as she could feel something surge inside of her own self. This energy that enveloped Nathan, Tsukiko knew it all too well. It was the same energy that she had used to… A blast of dangerous transparent energy came out of his fist which sent the beast flying. The blast traveled into the depths of the forest as it dragged the beast and disintegrated trees in its wake. While the blast traveled through the trees, Tsukiko looked a little pale as she felt a painful shockwave go through her entire body. She extended out her arm where a giant cannon materialized around her fist. The cannon was aimed in the direction of the beast, but the expression on her face was a very sadistic one. Even though it was aimed in the direction of the beast seems her shot was aimed at something else. “Haaaaaaaah!!!” She grinned as the same energy that was released from Nathan’s fist began to be drawn to her like a moth to a flame. The man who had caught Erica had just landed on the ground with the girl where he took a look at Tsukiko’s direction. “What is she doing!?” He questioned with concern as she could see that she wasn’t acting like she normally did. He couldn’t figure out what she was aiming at. It wasn’t in the direction of the beast and that energy she drawn out was even reacting even stronger than the energy that came out of Nathan’s fist. “I’ll annihilate you worthless insects! Writhe in pain and rot in hell!” She said as the energy surged inside of her began to reach its peak. The energy was so powerful that she was using a repelling force which felt like a powerful wind that blew everyone away from her direction. Trees and rocks began to disappear into thin air as the powerful gust of energy raged inside of her like a fierce beast. “Flames at her eyebrows? NO, SHE COULDN’T BE, COULD SHE!?” He questioned as he set Erica down in a safe area away from the intensity that was in the area where Nathan and Tsukiko both stood. “What the hell is going on here!?” Danny’s ice dome had been broken by whatever Tsukiko had done, and in the process he was knocked back “what is wrong with this planet!?” Things were getting progressively stranger and worse at the same time, and Danny was sick of it. Nathan on the other hand fared a little better, as he was able to force his way through the mighty gale to reach Tsukiko, although it took a great deal of effort to do so. As he trudged through the storm, cuts began to appear on his body. ‘Okay, maybe taking that woman up on her offer was a bad idea if this is the result. Regardless, I still have to fix...whatever this is.’ When he finally reached Tsukiko, he grabbed her by the shoulders and yelled “get ahold of yourself!!!” “Embrace her loneliness.” The voice of the woman said to Nathan as a tingle again ran through the red haired girl’s veins. Everything went faint just for a moment like someone had turned off the lights, but when the lights came back on Nathan could see a vision of where a girl was standing crying. The girl was very young and looked just like Tsukiko except she was younger. In the scenery was a entire city and its kingdom engulfed in flames. Tears rolled down the girl’s face as she screamed her parent’s name off the top of her lungs along with the names of her brothers and sisters. “Can you see her pain?” A deeper woman’s voice said to Nathan as she asked Nathan if he could see her pain. “...Oh shit.” Taking a quick look at the gauntlets on his hands he thought “did...did I give her some kind of traumatic flashback by using these?” Nathan couldn’t get them off his hand fast enough, and the fell to the ground. “Now, how am I supposed to fix this mess?” Trying to comfort the young Tsukiko was the obvious answer...but Nathan wasn’t confident that he wouldn’t just screw that up. ‘I could try putting out the flames...but the damage might already have been done.’ With no other viable option, Nathan walked over to the girl, knelt, and pulled her into a hug. He didn’t say anything, because he had no idea what to say. “You are?” The girl questioned when she stopped sobbing and also embraced this mysterious person. She could sense something inside this person that she had once felt before. The sensation inside Nathan reminded her of a person she met in the past. “All I know is emptiness… All that I touch turns to dust… Why would remain here with me?” The girl asked out of curiosity since she wanted to know why this person was still there despite there being nothing but dead bodies around her and destroyed structures as the city continued to burn into the dark night. A familiar voice said to the girl even though it could not be seen. Sounded like the voice of Nathan’s father. “No one should have to suffer. Not even you. You did nothing wrong. I came back here to take you to safety. Come with me.” The voice said as it went silent again. Nathan’s entire body went ridged “...how?” He let go of the girl, got to his feet, and began to look around “that couldn’t have been him...could it?” Despite having just heard his voice, he couldn’t find his father. “Something’s very wrong here...or at least more than I first thought. That couldn’t have been my dad, just someone or something that sounded like him. Maybe it only sounded like him to me, and she heard a different voice. Dammit, none of this makes any sense!”
