No worries about the bus thing; it is still plausible for there to be a van driven to the lodge by Dusk's character, since the lodge will likely need it for field trips to the city or other places. It's also possible that Nora was told there would be a bus, but that might have been miscommunication or information that was not up-to-date. I'm sure we can adapt the story to include lodgers who weren't specifically invited at first, since there will be enough rooms for all the characters in the lodge whether they were invited or not. "Crashing in a spaceship" is actually one of the ways I've introduced characters into this kind of chat setting before, so I'm good with it. I guess when I imagined the idea of everyone coming in on a bus or van, I thought that everyone could just "post about their reaction as they step off the bus" and then we'd go right into a neat tour of the lodge. However, I failed to make that clear as to what I thought might work for a start, so that is my bad. And in retrospect, it's probably better that things are happening this way so far, since this is a lot more interesting than just "all these guys step off of a bus." And, as pointed out, it'd be weird to have all the characters on a bus and not at least have someone attempt to talk to the others during the trip. It's possible that the crashed ship might become useful later on, either as a ship for the team once it is repaired, or for spare parts (either for the lodgers, or for somebody else who comes along and notices it). Now, I'm glad the idea of a Discord chat has been mentioned, because after trying Discord, I'm extremely happy with it and have pretty much ditched Skype entirely; I've been using Discord for several months now, well before my arrival at RPG. I suppose if the majority of the group really wanted to, we could have a Skype group, but Discord is just so much easier to use, and if you don't want to sign up for it, you can always log in via the browser-based site, and that should work pretty well. So, my question is: do we, as a group, want a Discord group for this RP? If we do, I will set one up for it. I might still be willing to set it up even if we can't get everyone into it, though we'd just have to be careful not to leave anyone out of any important OOC conversations, which is what the OOC thread could handle. I am willing to go for it, I'm usually logged into Discord on my phone or computer depending on where I am, and am fairly easy to reach that way for questions, comments, or concerns. At this time, the only person I believe hasn't posted is [@duskshine749], so I'm going to give another day or so before I post IC again. I'm not too worried about people posting very quickly at this juncture, though I am impressed that we've gotten the majority of the group to post IC when it's only been a few days as of yet. I'm still getting used to the RPG way of how things are done, and don't expect us to have to go extremely quickly even once we get up to speed, so try not to feel any pressure at having to rush and make a post. Once we get into the swing of things, I might get concerned if we don't hear from someone IC or OOC for a week, just as an example, but we are a new group starting together, so it'll take time for us to get used to each other and our pacing. Great posts so far, I like the way this is going!
