Intrigued.

Never played M&M before, but have extensive experience in D20 games in general (D&D 3.0, 3.5, PF, and 5e.)

Name: Ira Hawkins
Powers: Biological based armour, and extreme durability. Mild strength. 
Quirks: Physically deformed by his armour, he cannot appear human. As such, he has no alternate identity. Due to his appearance, he often suffers from prejudice, but is extremely honorable.

Background: Has a father, and a younger brother and sister. Father and mother were involved in severe car crash when he was 15, his mother passed away, while Ira's father suffers from paraplegia. In the aftermath of the accident, Ira grew up quickly, taking on a lot of the load of caring for his family. For the next two years, Ira dropped out of school to make sure his brother and sister could get to their schools, and take care of his father, Raymond. It took two years for Raymond, with his children's help, to overcome his depression, and start recovering. He and Ira began working out together, pushing each other their next goals. Josh and Kerttu (Named after their maternal grandmother), also began helping around the home as they got older, and were able.

Ira has since moved out of his family home, gone through a tradeschool, and is working as a journeyman welder, now 21 years old. He lives with his best friend, Matt Schumacher, renting a home from Matt's parents, who have a few rental properties scattered around Discord.

On July 5th, Matt and Ira were with a group of friends, heading to a concert when they came face to face with a member of The Wayside, and the attack began. Three of Ira's friends were found dead, Matt is still missing, and Ira became the mutated man with bone and chitin skin.

Interests: Ira likes to get outdoors, go camping, hunting, hiking, fishing, etc. He's a self-taught mechanic, and when at home, can often be found underneath his truck. He also cares greatly about fitness, and makes a point to work out with his father three times a week. Also known to pluck at the strings of a guitar every not and then.

Personality: A bit reserved, and stoic, Ira has a hard time truly expressing his emotions, and never really learned how to be sociable, or outgoing. This has been compounded somewhat due to the mutations that have befallen him. He is perhaps a bit mature for his age, and isn't really interested in most of the things a young adult of his age typically is. Lately, he has become a bit cynical, due to how people tend to react towards him and his appearance now, but he is not just hopeful for people to understand him, he strives to prove that he is more than what he appears to be.
