I think we can assume that you have some personal artefacts on you that you don't need to specify - just be reasonable with the size and quantity. I mean, having a sniper rifle or a chainsaw might be a bit OTT, not to mention it might make hitch-hiking..very interesting. :p
As for the occult things, I don't think it would make much sense to have spirits in this universe but that doesn't mean your character might not think there are. Given how we all have one ability (aside from the 'touching thing'), if Horus was to have a second one like this I would deem it a by-product of his voice messing with his head.
