[@The One] I'll allow the use of animals that make sense for the setting. Think more of a European setting. So no jungle animals or etc. As for badgers there is usually one one badger present at a time as they are territorial and become filled with bloodlust easily when in battle. They are practically a one man army on their own when paired against a rat and smaller creatures. 

As for the don't judge a book by it's cover I suppose we can let the alignments slide! So I will allow 'Evil' characters to be played as 'Good' characters! As well as the other way around!

As for age we'll make the youngest being say a 'teenager' and well if you want to be a crippled old bat who can barely walk well I won't stop you haha!
