"I think it is as interested in watching us as we are watching it.  I have heard lots of people mention a snowy owl watching them while they were stargazing out in this area.  This is the likely culprit, that or the snowy owls out here are just naturally curious."

He looks over at her for a moment then hoots again at the owl.  Its neck stretches out then drops down as it hoots back at him several times.
