ninja edit: for the record, Kaiten is distinctly Hyuuga only because of "Members of the Hyƫga clan are uniquely able to expel chakra from any or all of their tenketsu, and have created jutsu such as the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven to specifically take advantage of tha"

Also "Another ability possessed by members of this clan grants them the innate ability to expel chakra from every tenketsu in their body, allowing them to fully utilise chakra with attacks such as the Eight Trigrams Palms Revolving Heaven and the Gentle Fist Art One Blow Body techniques." From Naruto wiki page on Hyuugas. However, this is the only place that make this claim and does not even cite a source. However, two arguments for why this would be wrong: Akamichi Choji's butterfly wings and Naruto himself in Kyuubi mode. That chakra does not come from the hands and feet. Other techniques that cover the whole body like Kidoumaru's golden armour or even basic stuff like Henge could be argued to use tenketsu all over the body. Counter-claim. Leafninja doesn't say anything like it: http://www.leafninja.com/hyuuga.php I can totally get behind that the Hyuuga have some kind of "innate ability" or something that makes this easier for the clan as they have made it their thing to practice this sort of thing over and over again. Ninjas from other clans would have a harder time doing this as they generally focus on techniques that focuses on the hands and/or feet.

... and why on Earth would the Hyuuga teach someone else anything with how concerned they are about their eyes being stolen? Particularly someone outside the village? It seems... I dunno, odd.

1.
Being in a position of great trust, the First Saizen, a Hyuuga, revealed some small pieces of secret information about their special fighting style.
2.
Jin was born into the Heishiro family. While not a prominent family, at least a well-liked one, they were known as highly trusted by the First Saizen during her reign. The family respected her, and what she did for the village greatly, and stood at the front at her funeral.
3.
After her [the saizen] death the Heishiro family tried to recreate her style using these small pieces of information.
4.
Located within the Northern part of the Land of Fire, the small village was founded by a shinobi of the Leaf Village (now known as the First Saizen) who chose to abandon the violent ways of the ninja.
The First Saizen is obviously no longer affiliated with either Konoha or her clan. With that said, the Saizen did not teach anyone anything. She revealed small pieces of info which the cult has used to puzzle together their martial art. The cult does not practice Jyuuken, but a mock replica of it.
And if it was replicable, then the Gentle Fist would be a lot more common--ability to close tenketsu or not, internal organ damage at a touch is monstrous.
Why would it be a lot more common? It is a specialised style that fits a specialised clan in one village. Other clans and villages have developed different styles to suit different needs. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for the other. The world isn't a game with stats that you can compare and conclude which style is stronger over all, it's all up to the martial artists themselves. Even if people en masse decided to take up the Jyuuken's style of martial arts they wouldn't get the same results, why?
Their style looks very similar to Jyuuken, but of course without the Byakugan they cannot take full advantage of it.
They lack precision.
