Sort of but not really, basically a sect of angels fell after getting involved with mortal woman. thus creating the fallen angels. Secondly, er the angel of death is Uriel in this case and Uriel is a seraph so thats kind of off the table.  You could have him be a trusted soldier in the army of heaven but sadly not [i]the[/i] angel of death.
