oh oops. my bad. 

I think 2 would be good as a starting point, that then gradually traditions into 1 as players traipse about and encounter each other. Lets us all get use to writing/invested in our chars and lets us flesh out the world a bit in the process. also being apart gives an incentive to travel to meet the other players, which brings the whole mad max bit of the setting to the forefront rather quickly. That bit should be fun, because car combat is cool.
