He climbs in just barely in the water. He pulses the engine and the thrust pushes them in the water. He gives it a little throttle and the engine whines. He moves the engine side to side steering the boat. "At full throttle we will go through 7 gallons of fuel in 15 minutes so we will be light on the throttle." He moves from the mouth of the river they launched on just to the edge of the bay, shutting the engine off. He looks in the cooler to see what she packed, finding liverwurst. He smiles at her and says. "Catfish love liver." He cuts the liverwurst and begins preparing their hooks. He pairs the rods and reels up stretching out the line through each eye on the rod. He drops the hooks off of boat directly below, some 20 feet. He hands her her rod and says. "Just keep your finger on the line, the catfish out here are pretty sneaky. If you feel a tap it means you are getting a bite, when the bite becomes a steady pull yank the rod back and start reeling."
