Smiling he yells out.

"It's a big one!"

He starts reeling in the other line and as he is bringing it in his pole is bent over significantly and he feels a shake.

"AAAH!  I got one too."

He says and starts fighting the fish, reeling it with a rhythm.  He hears the line ripping out quickly, yanking back causing the fish to stop running, he starts reeling it in, fighting it hard.
