Name: Ayril Ferren Alias: Ayri, The Tortoise Cook Appearance: Ayril stands at about 5’6”, wears a hat of constantly messy teal and cyan hair, and never wears shoes. Around her head lives a pink headband, the only saving grace that keeps her hair from covering her eyes. Otherwise, she wears rather baggy clothing, and carries around a burlap cape. Age: 22 Position in crew: Le Cook Personality: A whimsical girl from rather off-beat habitat who holds quite a bit of confidence in her ability. Though she prioritizes cooking, her thirst for adventure very much so exists as her reason for becoming a pirate. That said, the lass is curious, so much so that her love for exploration may come as a hinderance. She prides herself in what friendships she holds, though the tinges of feistiness and haste that exist makes her rather difficult to get along with. All around, she often bides free time alone, cooking some dish. Or eating what had been once made. Powers/Abilities: Though a cook at heart, Ayril carries how own style of swordplay- the Scimi-Slash Style. Naturally, this style relies on her skill with a scimitar, or cutlass. The majority of it consists of quick arcing one-handed slashes, and stronger two-handed charges. Additionally, she definitely has some skill revolving around the pot and stove. While she isn’t the most knowledgable in what can or can’t be cooked and will often have to rely on informative books, or the like, she has a creative style with bringing out a flavor’s poomf. Techniques: Whirling Slash- A move belonging to her Scimi-Slash Style; when done perfectly, the user spins rapidly on their feet, executing upwards, downward, and sideways slashes, dealing rapid hits in close combat. Unfortunately, when Ayril currently does it, she simply ends up dizzy, and may launch her blade halfway across the room. Not her most effective technique currently, but useful in a pinch. One-Hand/Two-Hand Style- Her swordplay relies on both of the styles; one-handed excelling in quick rampart strikes, while two-handed focuses on stronger, more precise strikes. Background: Ayril’s story began on an island surrounded by a large overhanging mountain. Guira Island existed somewhere along the East Blue, and served as a home to a multitude of pirates. In particular, the crew her mother belonged to, after arriving shipwrecked many years ago. She prided herself as a cook, and saw the whole deal as a family-line sort of thing, rigorously teaching her daughter the line of work. The two shared their skills with the rest of the company, before Ayril’s mother met her unfortunate end at the hands of one such pirate. A determined follower, Ayril found herself cooking right after, firmly believing her mother to have returned to the seas. For about ten years, the lass cooked, before disappearing from the pirate group’s radar altogether, hiding amongst the crags and shadows of the covered island. Instead of hiding, her attention was that of leaving the island, confident in her ability to share her good graces with the world. Or to find money, which was much more important than sharing graces. Adventure was also a top notch reason. Whatever her motives were, after a year of seemingly disappearing, she made her way around the island, and hid aboard a boat, headed right for Logue Town. Other: Ayril will try to carry everything. Everything. Can’t swim well.
