House History: Many generations ago, a penniless but resourceful man by the name of Milton Calla had found a small inlet set within the Bay of Solendreda. It was a fine little spot he often went to in order to watch the ships pass by in seclusion, to see which ones he would use to barter passage on. One day, he saw a pirate vessel attack a merchant vessel, and watched the haul the corsair's made that day. He was bewitched by both the goods that the merchant vessel could haul, and the efficiency the pirates had in obtaining them. On a gamble, he waded into the shallows and swam out onto the merchant vessel, clambering up just in time to be spotted by the pirates. He'd heard stories, including tales of pirate's taking on recruits. Of course, all of the pirates saw him soaking wet and deduced pretty easily that he saw all of the way out there. They happily took Milton on, needing eager members. Various adventure's later, Milton sailed back into Solendreda Bay, the Captain of a pirate ship. Only he had bigger plans for the bay than capturing merchant vessels. He built Solendreda Port, and began a healthy trading hug, where Merchants came to buy and sell, and pirates were regularly captured and reformed into his navy of privateers, hiring out to the wealthiest merchants. With the privateers having known every pirate trick in the book, and knew the shipping lanes of the merchants, they could effectively hunt down the corsairs better than any. Milton Calla became Milton Callahan, the Lord of the region. Solendreda Port became a melting pot of various cultures, and a favorite spot for Merchants on both land and sea, as well as cutthroats and duelists. Inland, there's small forests and lowlands good for farming and growing crops, as well as a very suitable place to grow berries for wine. Milton and his Vassal Captains have various villas atop hilltops and spiring low cliffs. The most recent Lord is Phillip Callahan, who bore two sons and a daughter. He gave his first son his very own name, Kirk Callahan. His second son he named after himself, to ensure his legacy. His daughter he named Marissa, to name her after the sea.
