The new imprint on the gym wall could wait a while. Jason laid on his bed in his room, twirling the syringe so fast it looked like a spinning top. It always seemed like a double-edged sword when it came to one of the "Crucible's" many forms of chemical creations, injections and fluids. Usually, Jason wouldn't complain too much. He didn't even have to ask, she just gave it to him. What worried the Speedster was that she said she "knew what he needed it for". That is never good... Jason stopped spinning the syringe and examined it for a moment, debating whether or not he should even inject it at all. For all Jason knew, he could get a new arm sprout out of his back or an extra eye in the middle of his forehead. He shuddered at the thought of it. His days of being a public face would be over if that happened. Although, now that he thought about it, that possibility seemed to be getting more real every passing day that damn monster was still out there roaming free. Which option was the lesser of two evils, really? For the second time today, his thoughts drifted back to those horrible events a week ago. The whole thing seemed to be plaguing him constantly. Though the Coalition did their job everyday, saved people everyday, put bad people behind bars everyday, bring a smile to a wide-eyed kid's face everyday. It was never enough. No matter how hard the Coalition tried, even though Jason had been doing this gig for over a year, he still wasn't enough. Alas, that's how he came to this choice right now. The choice of shooting Wyn's latest drugs into his bloodstream to try and get the edge or leave it there and just see if he can do it again. His train of thought was interrupted to a grinding halt when his phone vibrated, rumbling on top of the bedside table. Jason swiped the unlock pattern on his smartphone with a Coalition notification popping up flashing bright red. Emergency. Jason scanned the text for all the information he needed. He gave the syringe one last look. Guess now was as good a time as any and the decision was clearly made for him. He pierced the skin of his arm with the needle and slowly pressed the chemical into his body. He placed the empty syringe on the table and dashed up to his wardrobe where he kept his green and yellow suit and quickly got changed, stripping down to his boxers and hastily slipped on the suit. He felt energized, like he was ready to lap the world there and then. However, unknown to him and what was soon to be Wyn's disappointment, the chemical wasn't actually doing anything. In fact, it was a total dud! This new feeling, the sense that the drug had actually worked was entirely placebo effect.

One minute later...

The repairs to the helmet and streamline shoulder vents seemed to go off without a hitch, and the blue glow of his eyes were brighter than ever. Blur skidded to a halt at ground level as he arrived on scene. His HUD updated to measure the distance of important things in the area, including how far away the plane was, it's current path and nearby buildings in it's crash radius if it hits the ground. The Speedster looked at the FedEx building and sprinted his way up to the top by running up it to get a better view. He thumbed the side of his helmet, emitting his voice to all Coalition communication devices on the rest of the team. "Blur, reporting on scene. What's the plan, guys?" He asked, awaiting the voices of the team to reply. Most likely Sentinel to be the one to give out the plan. He swore in his head, if this went off without a hitch... He's going to physically search the whole damn city himself for the Masked Villain, and if... when he does, he's not going to hold back...
