Journalism is not that at all as a profession. Journalism is the unbiased reporting of information that would be considered newsworthy or notable to the general audience of a reader, listener, or viewer. At its core the function of journalism should be about the information itself and not the journalist's political biases or those of the company or organization they belong to. None of those qualities highlighted in my comment are elements of a professional and are some of the exact reasons the American public absolutely loathes the mainstream media currently. It should also be noted that the shadiness of the current media makes for a trend based [i]historic low in confidence of the media[/i], where only one in three Americans have any confidence in it.
