Roy had responded with lobbing what looked like another grenade. It's technical purpose Travis couldn't immediately ascertain. It soon didn't matter as Zuri from behind reacted and casted a spell, brought forth from a summoned rune. A flurry of small energy projectiles raced outward from their origin point almost like hail during a storm. Travis decided now was better than later as he raised his hand in front and summoned a larger number of runes than before. Two cryo runes flanked him on both sides, one right on top of the other. He immediately discharged them, causing the magical circles to vomit surging clouds of freezing gases. With the humidity on the rise thanks to the growing and intensifying storm, the spells effects were more potent than before. While he had meant them for Roy, Travis however aimed the runes away the hunter and instead towards his sides about a couple of meters apart. His strategy would soon be made known as two large walls of thickened ice quickly materialized in the plumes' path. If anything, Travis wanted to deny Roy any opportunities and limit his options, keeping him pinned to only a single course. Additionally it would narrow Zuri's barrage down an icy bottleneck. For the moment, Travis believed his stratagem would prove effective and forcing Roy to approach head on. A blessing but a curse as well if Roy was allowed to close. Nevertheless, it seemed like a necessary gamble.
