"I'm fine," he says. I look into his eyes, trying to see if he's lying, but he starts coughing uncontrollably. "Kale!" I cry, grabbing him. My eyes widen in horror, as he starts coughing up blood. My face pales. "No, no, no..." I mutter, grabbing him, and pulling his head onto my lap. I can only watch, as he falls unconscious. Even though we only knew each other for maybe a day, I was still attached to him already. I don't want him to die. "I promise we'll get out of here. I promise we'll get back home. Just hold on, Kale." Not long after I say that, the door burst open, and people in coats come pouring in. I glare at them. I didn't want to let them touch him, but I knew that if I did that, he might end up dying, so I let them take him out of my hands. Jumping to my feet, I grab one of them. "If he ends up dying, when I get out of here, I will kill you," I say in the most deadly voice I could. I watch him with narrow eyes, before releasing him. I walk to the other end of the room, and sit back down, cross-legged. I'm not going to try to escape today. I'll wait for Kale to get better. Then I'll try. But before that, I'll plan, and bide my time.
