It's not a very noticeable place. A small, terraced house in a fairly unassuming street. A small, rather unkempt garden sits at the back with an unruly hedge trying to clamber over the back fence. A rusted looking barbecue sits against the back wall, serving as home to a large puddle and several dead leaves. Inside the house is a kitchen, living room, and several upstairs rooms that have long been bare of much but some bed frames and some dusty boxes. Beyond that lies the attic, wreathed in spiderwebs and the nests of whatever urban wildlife managed to get in during the winter months. 23 Queen's Road was a rather unremarkable place to glance at. The only thing that might set this place apart would be the stories. Many of the tenants that had taken up the rental on it in recent years had left with claims of strange noises and ghostly apparitions. All nonsense, the letting agent hastened to tell those viewing. Things are about to change however, as some tenants are about to move in...tenants who can only be described as extraordinary. A vampire, a werewolf, and a ghost.
This RP is inspired by the BBC series Being Human. You don't need to know about it, but you need to make an effort to stick to the the general idea of the series, which is that the supernatural creatures are trying their best to be ordinary people, rather than save the world or kill people or anything along those lines. My current plan is to take up the role of the werewolf, who is female and in her late thirties, as well as said werewolf's seven year old son. The other housemates, that is, the vampire also wanting the place and the ghost who has been haunting the house for some years, are both up for grabs, and am open to suggestions regarding other potential roles, but need the housemates initially!

Mythos

Vampires are created when a human is bitten and drained, and ingests the blood of a vampire.
Vampires are able to walk in daylight, although they're not keen on the sun. They'll often don dark glasses for this reason.
Vampires drink human blood. Animal blood doesn't seem to offer much interest to them. Blood bags from a hospital don't really have the required effect. The blood is not needed to survive, however it manifests as an extremely strong addiction. Vampires that do not drink go through a very nasty withdrawal, and suffer mild symptoms of it for as long as they don't drink. As a result, it's rather difficult for vampires seeking to beat their addiction.
Vampires do not age from the age they were turned. Child vamps remain children permanently.
Vampires are vulnerable to injury like humans, though are capable of healing at a faster rate than a regular person.
A stake to the chest is extremely serious for a vampire, and causes organ failure initially. If the stake it not removed within a few seconds then the vampire will begin to degrade, eventually turning to nothing but dust.
They are repelled by religious symbols.
They have no reflection, and do not show up on film.
When ready to 'strike' a vampire's pupils expand to fill their whole eye, making is seem completely black. Their fangs also extend out to full length.

Werewolves were once humans who were bitten by another werewolf, but survived.
They change on the full moon. Changing is extremely painful and distressing.
The wolf is a separate entity that acts on its own impulses...which are almost exclusively violent.
In human form the werewolf resembles an ordinary person, although their sense of smell is very acute and they display greater resilience to injury than humans.
Werewolves tend to get moody around the full moon, and will often have cravings for meat in the lead up.
Werewolf blood is extremely toxic to vampires when ingested.
It is possible for a werewolf to artificially 'force' a change to a degree, using an image of the moon...however this generally only succeeds in killing them halfway through the change.

Ghosts are the spirits of the dead that have yet to pass on to the afterlife. Generally those remaining are those that experienced an untimely death.
They can interact with the physical world to some degree, though it takes practice to accomplish this.
Vampires and Werewolves are able to see and interact with ghosts directly, humans generally cannot without considerable effort on the part of the ghost to appear to them.
Ghosts remain behind due to having an unresolved issue in the world of the living. Upon accomplishing this, a door will appear to them that resembles their passage into the life beyond.
Dependent on their strength and experience, ghosts can often exhibit a sort of telepathic influence on their surroundings. It often ties in with strong emotion, and sometimes happens involuntarily.
Ghosts remain in the clothes that they died in permanently.
