He couldn't help but agree with Gavin--sure, they may have been starving, but that didn't mean James and the domestic staff's cooking wasn't heavenly. It made sense that this was a special occasion for a wedding--hell, Ravi couldn't imagine anyone having the resources to eat like this all of the time. It was stunning, to be frank, that they were able to pull off a wedding feast. "My cooking skills are lacking," Ravi replied to Gavin as he was elbowed, rolling his eyes a bit but chuckling. "I am quite proficient at following the directions on the back of microwavable dishes, but not much more." And of course, even that talent was not much use anymore. Microwaves were hardly standard apocalypse equipment. Ravi nodded his thanks at James, swallowing another piece of ambrosia-like goodness. "Goodnight, chap," he replied, along with the others who bade goodnight to the redneck. He tried his best not to be too slobbish as he continued to eat, following Miss Sally along with Gavin. The prospect of a bed to sleep in was amazing enough, and it was a nice bonus that his best friend wouldn't be too far away. It made sleeping in a place filled with strangers a little bit easier. He shouldered his pack as well, once again taken away by the generosity of the people in Newnan. When they finally made it to the general housing and Miss Sally took them into the room, Ravi felt like a bit of a broken record. "Thank you so much," he said earnestly, as the elderly woman turned on the heat. He didn't mind that security was posted outside, as it made sense to him. This community had welcomed in strangers with open arms, but with everything they had, a security detail was a logical move. He waved goodbye to Miss Sally as she stepped out, before practically following suit with Gavin and flopping down on the other bed. Finishing his food, he shook his head ever so often, seeing the look of bliss on his friend's face. While he knew that the ultimate goal was to get justice for the woman in Peachtree City, Ravi couldn't help but feel like he could get used to life in Newnan. By the time Ravi had finished his food, he glanced over and saw his friend passed out on the bed, his boots still on. "Brilliant, mate," Ravi chuckled, sliding off of his bed and on over to Gavin's. He unlaced the man's boots and tugged them off as delicately as he could, before placing them on the ground next to the bed. He didn't feel like Gavin getting dirt from his boots all over the sheets would leave a good impression. But having gotten his mate all settled, Ravi then went back over to his own bed, kicked off his shoes, and then crawled under the covers. It was so soft, he felt he'd never want to leave. Hardly a minute passed before the former medical examiner was fast asleep, snoring softly. She had spent most of her life alone and it was comforting to her. Her only real family had come on later in her teenage years, and by then, most of her habits had been formed already. She found her bliss when she was by herself, when no one was there to demand things of her or to distract her. It was odd, but she found even the busiest city streets to be a nice spot, with the sound of the world coming in just as white noise. By the time she finished her piece of cake, she already felt incredibly tired. She set aside the dish carefully and slid under the covers, taking another moment to close her eyes and to just breathe. Unlike Chloe over in the Rejects R Us Housing, who was currently suffering from a nightmare involving a drive-by shooter, Beatrice was entirely calm. The irritation from the romantic events of the day slipped away as she rested her head on the pillow, and slowly, like a feather gliding down, fell into a deep and restful sleep.
