Jaquel stood up, before looking around. There's a moment of silence, before he he stands up fully. "There's news from Kami. Our goal is no longer Abbadon. We've been tasked with freeing Wiper from captivity." Shocking as this news was, nobody was really paying attention to it. In fact, although all eyes were, in fact, on Jaquel, no attention was payed to his reveal. Because Jaquel wasn't wearing his usual hood, and his mask had fallen away. And on the back of his head, fading in and out of sight, was a massive black spider, it's feet hooked into the sides of Jaquel's skull. The spider's teeth were at the base of his neck, the back of it's large, bulging body, sticking through the back of Jaquel's head into his brain. Undoubtedly, this answered how Kami created her Death Priests, and what fate awaited any who would cross her. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Kami smiled, as the massive spider moved across from it's perch, onto her hand. It was of an older breed. It wouldn't be able to reach her through the barrier of space and time, which posed quite a problem, should she move her army through. Had she sent the lesser spiders, together with her army of Death Priests, no doubt they would have erupted into confused mutiny within a day. And she had no wish to personally accompany the invasion. Front lines were such a dangerous place. The spider slowly moved back to the thrumming hive, their webs extending throughout the city. Soon, their web would extend around the world. Her Web would be inescapable. For the world simply consisted of flies, bigger and smaller, unknowing of the Spider, drawing closer with every second that passes. Kami smiles, and swirles wine in her left hand, the baby spider clinging to it's edge. It was of a new breed. Soon enough, it would be ready. A breed that could breech the time-space barrier with it's beautiful song, that she might sing in return. And once Hope was burned to the ground, a new faction would emerge, driving back the horrible bad people that had burned Hope down. And she would enter their world as a hero, who had saved them from disaster. Her spiders would spread, as she became a greater and greater sensation. In the end, of course, she'd sink back into the shadows, the governments retaining all their puppet rights and powers. And she would own another world. And then, once she found the source of these portals, she would spread. From world to world, he spiders would go, and she would create an empire the likes of which had never been dreamed of. To grow so rich, she could buy planets. Power beyond mortal comprehension. That, Kami decided, would be her goal.
