The run down two-story building, that had clearly seen better news, wouldn't be his first choice of shelter but it was already well into the night and the young man would rather make it to the next morning under a roof, surrounded by walls, than attempt to do so outside in the cold weather. He would enter the building through the paramedics bay, slinging his Remington over the shoulder, drawing Split out of its sheathe; a much more appropriate approach to fend off anything indoors. The halls were devoid of anything remotely salvageable, as Samuel would have guessed this building was already ransacked so he wouldn't be expecting to find anything of use. As he made his way down the hall, neither rushing or lagging, into the darkness with blade at the ready the former pro boxer would come to hear some noise down the corridor to his left, slow repetitive thumps. He breathes a tired sigh, exhausted after days of travel with little rest, before heading towards the source of the noise, slowly and with ample caution. He would eventually find himself pushing the doors to the emergency room open, which was bare with only a few hospital beds and curtains left. The thumping noises had grown louder and rougher, coming straight behind a sliding door that led to the X-Ray room from the ER. With a tired, unenthusiastic look on his face he blocks said door with what little he had; a hospital bed or two and some small furniture that he had managed to find, whatever laid past the door would have to wait til morning comes. The Korean-American would then do the same for the main entrance into the emergency room, even tying an impromptu knot together to somewhat bind the doors together. Pleased with his work and in much need of some sleep he dragged off the remaining bed, which to his delight actually had clean sheets, off to the corner of the room farthest from the entrance. Propping his gear against the wall adjacent to him, Samuel climbs onto the bed with his sword snuggled against him. He is more than eager to leave this building as soon as he checks out whatever that noise was in the X-Ray room, first thing in the morning. His thoughts linger on, the rough thuds still echoing across the room, before he eventually falls asleep.
