Lillian - Courtyard
Lily contented herself with lying atop one of the walls overlooking the main courtyard of Olympus Academy. She was one of the few students that lived at the school year round as she had nowhere else to go and no one else to take care of her. It was one of the gods' small mercies. With the exception of a small handful of other students Lily had spent the last two months or so alone in the school with only the faculty for company. Today however was the first day of the new term, the new and returning students would soon be approaching the school. Up until an hour or so previous Lily had been enjoying the feeling of sunbeams on her face but as she lay facing the sky, the clouds turned dark and angry and water started to pour from the heavens. Normally the academy was shielded from disruptions of the weather unless something specific was needed for a training exercise. If it was raining here without cause it could mean only one thing. Zeus was enraged. Tensions had been slowly building between the gods for a while now and yet Lily couldn't find it in herself to care that much. They were always arguing over one thing or another. This time it might lead to all out divine war but the reality was that in the end it would settle back into the normal power structure and status quo. It might take a great deal of damage but a war among the gods wouldn't change all that much for Lily. Not right now. Maybe she'd see it differently once things started to worsen but for now she wasn't that worried. The new students drew Lily's attention as she looked down on the courtyard. She wondered vaguely if any of the teens filleting in through the gate might be siblings of hers on the godly side. She knew that children of Melinoe were rare and largely born to men who suffered from terrible nightmares. Despite the distance she kept from them Lily was certain her mother did care about her mortal children. If there were more in the area Melinoe would keep them safe. Whether she'd guide them to this place was a different matter. Still it would be nice to have a sibling, to not be alone. Without the presence of a teacher to shepherd them Lily saw the students separate, some seeking solitude while others formed small groups and as was predictable when the demigods lacked someone to keep them in line a few started to fight. From her perch it looked like a child of Hecate. It more than a little senseless but there were children of Apollo that took action almost faster than could be believed to stop him. Lily focused on another pair. One she found infinitely more interesting. There was a girl that was screaming to the heavens in fury. Her hair was shaved on either sides of her head and styled in a wild blue green Mohawk. Her ears had a half dozen piercings each and her eyes were decorated with extravagantly applied blue eyeshadow and thick mascara. Then there was the girl that stood quietly in the shadows mocking her screams with a smug grim. Her appearance was far more ordinary and yet somehow even stranger. Her hair was jet black, her skin pale and her eyes dark. She wore a kind of metal armour that blended seamlessly between plate and leather. Yet it was the way she seemed to bleed into the shadows that caught Lily’s attention. Evidently they were both affiliated with the underworld in some manner. Lily smiled and waved her fingers in a circular motion in the air. The spell she cast covered only the two girls. Anyone else who looked would see nothing, but then Lily was only interested in these two. From the earth it appeared as if a horribly disfigured corpse, half decomposed clawed its way out of the ground. It wore a lab coat that was in tatters and the shredded blue material that clung to its body might well have once been scrubs. Around its neck was a damaged stethoscope and in it's hand was a scorched clip board. It spoke in a voice that in contrast to its appearance was educated and clear. "Not a good sign, not good at all. Now you'll understand psychology is not my main field but I can tell you violent outbursts and speaking to oneself are never a good sign. My professional diagnosis a sheltered persona, an attitude problem and a serious need to chill out." Lily found the entire stunt quite amusing. It wasn't her usual application of terror and fear but that was best saved for the dreamscape anyways. At this moment she was just looking for a little fun. [@KatherinWinter][@DragonKingUk]
