Each has its own laws and standards for residence or visitation. They revere the royal family as deities and have a religion based around them. They are often fanatical and are considered rather weird by the rest of the clans. There is no law or regulation in this sector and open piracy is common even amongst local traffic not clearly bearing identification. A ruling class of gangs lead this clan, and power struggles are common.[/hider] Description of military: The clans, with the exception of the Helveti, have no professional military service. Pirate bands or admirals my join together from time to time, but there is no standing military. The Helveti is the only clan to maintain a professional military force. The force consists of a moderate army and navy with a small marine component. The Helveti army is known to be under equipped and have poor morale, with most of the attention going to the navy and elite marine force. Technological Overview: The different clan have varying technological strengths. The Bibracate and Helveti both maintain a research branch, but the Averni rely on stealing a reverse engineering equipment. The people from all three clans are very proficient in “Mcgivering” repairs and equipment. Pirates are extremely resourceful, if you put enough pirates infant of a problem they will find a solution. Cultural Overview: Bibracate- This clan is the closest resemblance to “normal” life in the pirate territories. You can find any of the three clans in the Bibracte territory, which is considered a neutral zone. -Helveti- Their religion is the focus of everyday life, citizens pray three times a day in public sessions to the royal family. Any act of blasphemy or ill will towards the royal family is considered treason and is punishable by death. Vistors are assigned government minder and are followed and watched throughout their entire trip Averni- There is no set culture for these people, most etch a living out of the land and hope that raiders don’t descend upon them. For those unlucky enough to live on a station, their quest for survival often gets especially desperate. There are only a handful of actual population centers in this territory. History: The territory used to be a collection of mining and other natural resource colonies. The five planets that make up the system continue to have active high yield mines and other factories that make up most of the economy of the confederation.
