Alex nodded thoughtfully. "The choices we make define who we are, while the choices we make are the doors of our life. Behind every door is more, different, doors. But can you see what's on the other side until you've shut it? Of course not. And eventually there's the final door, with the great unknown on the other side. So why fear the other side of the doors, or regret not having, or taking, a different door behind you?" she said quietly. "To put it simply, I feel you see it as it is. Abilities don't change us. We change, and sometimes I feel the abilities reflect that." Alex grew distant for a moment, oblivious to her surroundings. She reopened her eyes and sighed. "What are we, in the end, if not what we make of ourselves?" With a quick twirl, Alex returned to her impish self. "But! Enough depressing crap. Allow me to take a page from Aladdin," she said holding out her hand. There was a hint of playfulness in her voice now. "May I show you a whole new world, my dear Teagan?" [@ihinka]
