Bio: Arthur Kingsley is a private detective in Los Angeles. A veteran of both WW2 and Korea, he also served in the LAPD for a further decade. Born in the San Fernando Valley, Kingsley had an unremarkable childhood. He joined the US Army in the final years of the Second World War, and served against the German army in the Netherlands and northern Germany. He still carries a Luger taken from a brave Wehrmacht officer there. Following the war's end he joined the LAPD, serving six years as a patrolman. The Korean War brought him back into uniform, where he fought against the North Koreans and the Communist Chinese. Resuming his career in the LAPD after the war he rose to the rank of Detective in the prestigious Homicide Bureau. A highly-controversial case involving the mayor and several prostitutes forced him from the department. He set up his own private detective agency just off Hollywood Boulevard. 

Kingsley is a somewhat charming man, with an easy, affable manner. However, the years of suffering that he had seen both as a soldier and a cop has caused him many sleepless nights-and a slight drinking problem.


Now a case leads him across the seas, to his destiny in a city beneath the waves...
