Jan Dietrich Wiesen Age: 29 Appearance (aside from pic): He is quite typical in appearance for an Ostlander, tall, and with not a hint of insult can be described as brutish. He has true orange hair and light blue eyes, with a rounded face of immature innocence that only occasionally grimaces as the innate stubbornness and cynicism of his people comes to light. Personality, skills, other miscellaneous information: Jan is quiet and reserved, being very well disciplined by mother and father and while not exactly stupid, he is undeniably simple and not very cultured having only started to eat with a fork at 20 when a noble was visiting his village. He has some martial skills after years of being a hunter, squashing some snotlings and being asked to help break up a bar-brawl a time too many though he usually gets by more on being a tad bigger and stronger than the enemy rather than better equipped or trained. He has a thin suit of chainmail, a breatplate and he carries as armament an arming sword, along with a shepherd's axe. Bio: Jan was born in a small village called "Hanschen" in Ostland, that had an incessant greenskin problem (though admittedly it was generally insignificant and if anything a benefit considering the price a well prepared squigg could have). He generally lead an uneventful peasant life, going farming, hunting, chopping wood and doing whatever else a man needs to get by. As he got older, more mature and independent he started looking for alternative work; he wasn't too ambitious but he feared that his swamp province could become irrelevant and he would live an even more impoverished life than already was the norm in Ostland. Thus, he joined a free company seeing minor action. This more or less bored him, so he went on an joined Marines in the Imperial fleet. This however, also proved to be quite boring as he just went back and forth patrolling a single stretch of water on his previous boat. Finally, he had recently docked at Marienburg and resigned, wanting to find something else to do. He as of late has been doing odd jobs, perhaps helping a smuggle move some suspicious barrels or kicking the arse of a debtor. At the most recent period in time, he has started looking for more serious and permanent work like that of a mercenary, or sailor though not in a static position like he had in the Imperial Navy.
