Going with the former, because it's pretty lame to get in an argument in a thread where somebody's trying to come to terms with a serious illness and is turning to people she trusts enough for support. I didn't post earlier because I never know what to say, and I always feel like 'I'm sorry/I'll be here for you' always feels phoned in, even when it's not. I don't really know you that well Squee, I'd like to, and I sincerely hope you overcome this.
