The faster she made it over to the shadows, the sooner they would be able to save the man calling for help. She had no desire to allow harm to come to anyone if she could help it, especially from such evil creatures as these. Knowing she wouldn't be able to get fast enough at first, she darted straight forward, leaving about 40ft between her and the only shadow currently within her sites.
