Well, first, Eos' attack isn't supposed to be a 1-hit KO move (especially to someone who can use Gates of Bullshit to tank the brunt of it. So, I guess you are exaggerating quite a bit. Second, didn't both Ira and Mephilus have resistance to fire? Artoria probably should have got some of it from one of them.

It's exactly what [@The 42nd Gecko] said. The Machina (and by extension the factory) are protected by Eos from her own area attacks. It's pretty much obvious that friendly fire isn't fun when you are playing the support role.
