When our Dragonborn and Jester arrived again on the deck, Bledig sighed heavily. Bidding us adieu, he turned and flew towards tge Mirror Sea with great haste as if he feared another lightning strike was imminent. We had been left to determine our own fate and passage through the Gate. Thankfully, we had a Beholder. At Dyn's suggestion and after I explained the situation and the plan, the crew donned a momentary serious posture as the gravity sunk in. One wrong move, and we could plummet hundreds of feet to our doom. On the other hand, gold and glory likely would be our reward for solving this trouble. We never were a group to shirk from extraordinary feats of daring, so climbing up the side of a waterspout was kust another day for us. Despite my crew's impeccable courage, I admit I felt a little odd about steering my ship into the swirling mass of wind, water, and destruction, but my faith in Dyn was as unyielding as my crew's faith in me. They each performed their tasks admirably as we approached the edge of the Gate, its massive spray of aquatic death towering over us. I gave Dyn the word and he harnessed the greatest ride that nature ever created, sending us shooting skyward at a great clip. Cheers could be heard from much of my crew, but I held my hand steady on the till. One could never know when danger might strike. About halfway up the spout, the strangest feeling overtook us as we felt suspended for a moment, caught between the seaward pull of gravity and a similar feeling skyward. Dyn immediately recognized the danger and the bost rotated until we were looking up at the Material Plane. We passed through the Gate, now heading "down" towards the Mirror Sea. A glance up at our previous location shewed an unsettling view: our sea, once turbulent and vicious, now appeared as a low cloud cover, the same hue and texture that one would expect ob a stormt day. It truly looked like the Skysea that Bledig had mentioned before. We descended slowly until we came to rest on the surface of the Mirror Sea. Bledig awaited us, along with a full complement of coral drakes. He welcomed us graciously as the drakes watched for any response from us. We were now guests in the Plane of Water.
