Rourke's popularity was over shadowed by the other Ectosaviours as they took the spot light he stuck to his career and faded out of the main spotlight - most of the time. Those that know of his feats know him as an expert marksmen.

[indent] Rourke just wants to retire and get his pension, start a family and try to do some good for his community. A simple life, that Rourke is still thinking on as he continues to work. It isn't set in stone, but it's a start.[/indent]

[indent]Dean Rourke wasn't anybody before he volunteered for Project Sense. He spent most of his time as a teenager slacking around and doing nothing, his father died at a young age from cancer and Rourke couldn't find much motivation in his life to continue with school or do much at all. His mother begged and pleaded him to finish school, which he reluctantly did finish but he found himself in the world without anything more than a high school diploma. Some soul searching later and poor choices helped Rourke end up in the recruiters office, for the Army.

When he joined up he didn't expect his life to change, but it was at basic training when he was awarded the expert marksmen badge that's when army officials believed that Rourke had potential in Project SENSE. An expendable by all means, but someone who had potential of becoming a lethal weapon from afar. So, Rourke volunteered when he was given the chance, thinking he could give back to the community that took him in at a low point in his life. Little did he know what he was about to go through.

All the Ectosaviours survived the tests, they began to show increases in their natural senses and reflexes. The experiment was an success, so Rourke and the others were put in a special army unit. This unit conducted black operations across the world and still does today, however, without Rourke. He was selected by the Agency, showing promise in the field as a pathfinder and recon expert the Agency took him in to help Agent Werner track down escaped mutants. The sniper turned detective now embarks on a new journey that will make him face his demons and question his work, and possibly kill him.
