[i]Despite Hyōshi's less than inspiring childhood, he has a very pleasant disposition. An actively keen listener, Hyōshi is good at absorbing information through vocalization, especially if the person has a musical voice.[/i]

【[u]History[/u]】
[i]Hyōshi had a rough childhood. Born of an inappropriate union between of Yuganori Kinuko's father and a less willing Yuki woman, Hyōshi didn't have a place where he really fit in. The situation was made even more difficult given Hyōshi being born mute and blind which made his father want to have even less to do with him, despite some theories that the union would result in a child with significant power. 

Deemed as nothing more than a vessel for people's pity, Hyōshi was ignored by those not willing to spend the effort to work with him. The Yuki clan, despite their nature, could not understand blindness. His grandmother on his mother's side, Shiori developed books specifically for Hyōshi to read. For many years, they were his only way to escape. However, it would be his cousin that would provide the break.

Yui had taken note of Hyōshi's strong interest in music. She could tell by the look on his face when he listened that he was happier than he ever was, so Yui took it upon herself to get him a small flute as a gift. Unlike what both Yui and Hyōshi expected, he had no difficulty with playing the instrument, and more incredible, the first moment he played a note on the flute he could colors from the end of the flute. As he continued to play, more of his vision developed, and soon he could see as normal as the rest of his family and could continue to see sounds as colors. It was through this he also developed a way to communicate with other people through sound, using musical notes in place of words and a general innate ability to make people understand at least the gist of what he was saying.

With now an opportunity to learn, Hyōshi was able to participate in shinobi courses with the rest of his peers, albeit a few years behind his age group. He was a quick learner, Hyōshi's kekkei genkai allowing him to learn ninjutsu at a rapid pace. He innately knew that he could translate most jutsu to music and set for to compose many of the academy techniques as musical compositions. 

Still, there was something missing for Hyōshi. His half sister, also in a bad relationship with the Yuganori clan would be the one to help Hyōshi realize his full potential. Hyōshi always knew that she had significant prowess with the Yuganori's kekkei genkai, but Hyōshi was mostly only able to understand the techniques - not actually perform them himself. It was like there was a frustrating gap between knowing and being able to do. When Hyōshi explained this to Kinuko she was happy to oblige and crafted a set of specialized chakra strings from his own chakra natures to be used in a musical instrument. He knew that is what he needed in order to play the compositions he had spent his entire time at the academy making.

Once installed into an instrument Shiori had commissioned from Masazane Iyo, Hyōshi knew he was whole. He was able to finally play the music in the true form he had envisioned. His first, a simple bolero style piece that resulted in a series of fireballs from his instrument.

Hyōshi had a style, finally.

For starters, as a passive ability, those with Sōmeikyoku are able to see sounds as colors. The second piece is that they naturally possess all chakra natures, however, these are sacrificed to allow them to use the fourth part of their KG.

The third, and most important piece of this KG is the ability for the possessor to understand how to transcribe jutsu as musical sequences.
As a drawback, the bearers of this KG are mute permanently and blind up until the KG manifests itself. The possessor of this KG is capable of using jutsu through music. There are two phases to this KG - the composition of the music, which allows the wielder to innately understand how to transcribe jutsu as music. The second is able to play the music in lieu of handsigns - allowing multiple techniques to be used in tandem.
