"Strike Cruiser Erathell, this is Ophelian Celestian Aviza Norea of the Order of the Argent Shroud. Doors at docking bay C1-32 are sealed and we have begun our decent into the Tarson atmosphere. So far we have yet to be noticed by the Orks planetary defenses, thanks to the heavy storm over our landing point. I will report back to the Nova once we have made contact with the Imperial guards upon the surface of the forge world. If you do not hear from us in seventy two hours, consider us KIA." Pressing a button on the small data-pad that was built into the right forearm of her armor, Aviza switched com channels to the private channel that she and the rest of her squad used. "You can see the storm from here, the sheer size of it is quite impressive. Make sure you are all strapped and buckled in, I can assure you that this will not be a smooth flight or landing." The storm in the distance could easily be seen, the swillering vortex of dark clouds had blackened out the sky above, turning day into night and created very dangerous conditions to fly in. Suddenly the Thunderhawk Transport started to shake, at first it was gentle but after a few seconds became violent, shaking the members around aggressively. Outside of the window, lightning flashed in blinding white bolts of light while thunder mixed with the roar that surrounded them and drowned out every other sound. The Thunderhawk Transports interior lights suddenly shut off, with the rest of the ship's systems, sending them flying through the storm with no control. "Well there goes the power and with it all controls. I can't see anything through this storm, but perhaps my armors visor can help clear up some of this mess." Aviza was calm and collected, speaking in her same soothing tone of voice. Her visor quickly turned on and showed that they were heading towards something large in the distance. It was hard to make out but after a few seconds, it was now clear they were heading towards the planet's massive mountain range. "Look's like we are going to collide with the Tarson mountain range." There was very little Aivza could do, but using her strength with the help of her power armor, she pushed down upon the joystick that she was gripping with both hands. Something moved at the back of the ship and the Thunderhawk Transport started to dive at an alarming rate. "Brace for impact everyone, this won't be my best landing." Now pulling back upon the joystick, the Thunderhawk Transport leveled itself out and corrected its angle, they were going to hit hard but hopefully the Thunderhawk and its equipment would survive the impact. "Almost there... and we have... contact!" Aviza let go of the joystick, there was nothing else she could do but brace herself. The Thunderhawk Transport had hit the ground rather lightly and was now skidding across the earth below. Sparks flew out from behind the Thunderhawk while an unbearable screeching sound filled their ears. Suddenly, it was all over and the Thunderhawk Transport had stopped. Aviza had kept her eyes open the whole time and was watching everything happen around her with sick amusement. The sound of rain falling upon the outside of the Thunderhawk could be heard, then Aviva spoke up. "Everyone still alive and in one piece? Yes? alright let's move out then, no time like the present." Aviza didn't even wait for a response, she had unbuckled herself and moved to the back to of the Thunderhawk to look over her crew and their cargo. "Alright, the Taurox Prime with twin-linked Autocannons is about eighty yards behind us and the Taurox Prime with a Hunter-Killer Missile Launcher is about two hundred yards behind us. Our supplies and cargo are still attached to the back of them, ready to be towed." Aviza looked at her squad and smiled from behind her helmet. "Vala and Ansgar, you two are with me in the first Taurox. Adrianne, Herold, and Nergüi, you two will be in the second Taurox, the one with the Hunter-Killer Missle Launcher." Aviza would stop and point at Adrianne, "Do not use the weapon without my clearance, we are to remain hidden for the time being and meet up with the Imperial Guardsmen. Alright everyone, let's move out." Aviza would jump out the side of the Thunderhawk Transport and land upon the grassy dirt below her gracefully. The engines of the Thunderhawk were now giving off black trails of smoke, which meant somewhere inside of them, there was fire. "Hurry up, this Thunderhawk could explode at any moment, thankfully it's not armed so we don't have to worry about making too much of a spectacle." After taking the driver's seat inside of the first Taurox Prime, Aviza glanced down at her data-pad and went over the guidelines to their mission.
1: Your first priority is to regroup with the small number of Imperial guardsmen who are currently alive upon the planet and offer your assistance to them. 2: The planetary defense system must be retaken and secured for the Imperiums use. 3: The Titan known as Invictus cannot fall into Ork hands or be destroyed. 4: The forages must remain intact and must not be destroyed. 5: Push back and hold the Ork forces at bay until full reinforcements can arrive to eradicate them from Tarson. 6: Investigate reports of additional Xeno activity. 7: Squad leader is to report any additional finds.
