Fanilly was rocked where she stood by the sudden pat to her shoulder, eyes widening. Was this man half-giant? He seemed to take up her entire field of vision! And such a thing was not impossible. They had met what was assuredly a half-giant encountering that mercenary company, after all. Still, matters of the genuine, albeit somewhat forceful man's birth were less then important at the moment. His informal nature was also a surprise, and Fanilly quickly tried to compose herself. She was used to enforcing formality on herself in all such occasions, so this took her off guard to say the least. After a moment's pause, however, she fully took in what the huge man, Ludwig, had said. "I mean no disrespect, but is it wise to send villagers along in the course of this plan?" she asked, approaching the man once more, "The fighting could grow quite fierce, and I do not want their lives to be endangered if it can be at all helped." She couldn't understand, exactly, just why there would be civilians travelling with them. After all, it was going to be hard to defend them if they had to eliminate the cultists as well. Wasn't it better for the civilians to stay where they were? It was difficult for the Knight-Captain to understand why this was happening, but Fanilly wanted to get to the bottom of this.
