Steve had finally reached the clinic, just as Sarina began to stir. However, even he could tell she was reeeeeeeally out of it. Hell, he didn't even think she could tell who he was. "Hey, hey, easy now. You'll be alright" he whispered quietly to her making his way to the front of the line. "Excuse me! I need help. I've got seriously injured here!" he called out, hoping to get someone's attention over the ruckus this chaos had caused. Luckily, someone did hear, and before he knew it, Sarina was swept out of his arms. Quite quickly in fact, he really had no idea who had done so and and for a while had no clue where they went. Until he saw her lying on a bed in the corner of the room. 'Oh... well... that was fast. I hope she'll be okay' he thought, debating whether or not to stay here with Sarina or go help more kids. "Ah, dammit" he cursed, knowing he had to help as many as could "I'll be back" he said, more to himself as he turned towards a hallway and ran, continuing to spread to word and assist anyone who needed it. Steve kept this up for who knows how long, until he sensed something weird in the currents. When he woke up he could barely sense anything beyond the bunker, but now his powers were back up to snuff without him even noticing, and he felt the defenses on the lawn just now activate. 'Someone's here... someone who shouldn't be' he thought to himself as am earthen rumble ripped across the hall. "Is that... Avalanche?" the last Steve heard of the brotherhood mutant was... well not much, but he never thought he'd come here. "Dammit! Not exactly the best opponent I could ask for, but the others are too busy. Well, crap" he said aloud before focusing on the defenses current. Not fifteen seconds later Steve was standing on the front lawn... and dodging the damn guns. "OH, WHAT THE HELL!?!" he shouted, jumping, rolling, and doing everything he could to avoid getting shot. He barely had time to register a large mound of earth over by what was left of the front alcove before a bullet ripped through the meat of his leg and bringing him down to his knees. Suddenly incredibly jealous of whoever was behind that wall of earth (clearly not Avalanche, as he can't manipulate earth like- ohshitincomingbullet!!) "Sonofa-" and suddenly Steve was next to the mound. "What the...?" but before he could even finish his thought, another bullet wizzed right by his ear and damn near shot it off. "Okay... now I'm mad. Time to make this showy" Focusing on the nearest he tried to see if he could do the same thing he did before... and was suddenly right next to it! Before it could retarget him, he drained it of it's power supply (temporarily) and moved on the the next one... and the next... and the next... and the next. It wasn't long before he had all guns disabled, as well as a bit of a handle on this new teleporting thing. Seems he could turn into a bolt of electricity and travel through the air "Sweet. Oh, right! Earth pile" Steve remembered, heading over to it and pushing his new ability to the back of his mind. "Excuse me! But whoever is in there, please come out!... Hello?... ... Hello!... ... ... ... HELLO-OOO!?! Alright then..." Steve lifted his hand, focusing the electricity he gathered from the turrets, a grin falling on his face "I'm coming in... Thunder... Javelin" with that dorky little phrase, he launched a high-intensity bolt of electricity at the wall, punching a hole big enough for a torso to fit through... which Steve then did. And upon seeing the young man in the corner, freaking out a smidgen, decided to go with friendly "Hiya! You and me need to talk"...
