Lunise cast her face up and took a breath. "Well..." She hummed, frowning. Taking a step, Lunise slid onto the bed beside Meesei, seated sideways with one arm holding up her upper body. "From what I know of her, she would probably try to stop us," Lunise said regretfully. "Father saw Artaeum from such a distance that trying to get there might not even work, but all the same, Artaeum is filled with people that would prefer they were not trespassed. They would notice you trying to teleport there with that conspicuous spell of yours and have some sort of countermeasure, I am sure. Whether by visiting us directly or purposely disrupting your spell herself, mother would make sure that we are not hurt against Artaeum's defences." Lunise looked down. "But even of that, I am not sure. I have been in many life threatening situations since the island disappeared. She has never directly intervened." Lunise idly curled her fingers over her upper leg, where her clothing hid her scars. Lunise lifted her chin. "Meesei, I appreciate the sentiment, but I accepted long ago that I may not see my mother for another century or two." She looked pained. "It is enough for me to know she is watching."
