His one passion outside of work is his coffee, preferring expensive real espresso above any sort of plebian synthetic imitation. 

[b]History:[/b] As a young upstart surgeon, he made waves among the medical community by installing his daughter with numerous 'experimental' enhancements given that he had the funds and easier access to the technology. What he considered to be the truest expression of love, resulted in a headlining lawsuit, a second vicious custody battle from his divorced wife, and a tarnished reputation barring him from most employment on Earth. 

Svein spent the formative years of his career working on the wealthy of the Mars colony, but ultimately volunteered for the Willman Laboratory mission to remove himself from the distraction of his estranged family and renew his devotion to medicine.
