Takes the appearance of a Human.

Iustitia was not the first, nor the last to appear among the pantheon of the gods.  Quiet and soft spoken, she was easily forgettable by the other gods, who were busy with their own goals. She wandered the world for many years, and being a god of justice, applied it wherever she could, punishing criminals, and teaching the various races of the world between right and wrong. 

Iustitia eventually came across a race known as the humans, who were weak and fragile. Cold, shivering, weak, and frightened, they were easy prey for any other race in the new world. By the time Iustitia had found humanity, they were nearly extinct, scattered across the land. She wept for them, as their chances of survival seemed grim, and soon decided to turn the cruel wheels of fate in another direction. 

Iustitia appeared before them as a human female, and began to help the scattered humans form societies. She became their defacto leader for a while, teaching them agriculture and city architecture. No longer did humans have to venture out into dangerous areas to obtain food, as they now had a agricultural surplus. Large stone city walls ensured they were able to sleep without worrying about raiders. 

She then taught them how to mine for metals, so that they could eventually forge superior weapons. Humanity's stone and wooden weaponry began to be replaced with forged steel. For the first time, humanity was no longer simply getting by, they were now thriving. 

This, of course, angered Fortuna, the god of chance, but Iustitia could care less about that diety's policy of non-intervention. 

One of Iustitia's most famous actions also occurred around this time. Ianos, the god of chaos, attempted to destroy the budding world with Arabos, a moon that was used for her own worship. She used her famous spear, Iudicium, to destroy most of the moon before it collided with the earth. The resulting meteor storm killed many, but the races would be able to lick their wounds and rebuild. The shattered remains of Arabos orbit around the world, still an important part of Iustitia's worship. The moon shards that fell to the earth became religious relics as well, albeit mostly only symbolically, with no real power.

Iustitia also attempted to teach the humans about justice and order. All living beings deserved justice, and with justice brought order and peace. However, the majority of humanity did not agree with her completely. They saw little reason to forgive the other races that had once preyed on them with impunity. To Iustitia's shock, humankind went on a crusade against any race they believed had wronged them.

Iustitia was at first unable to stop humankind from slaughtering many innocent individuals who only committed the crime of not being human. But humanity soon grew wary of the various wars they started, and finally decided to listen to reason. Iustitia no longer knew how to feel about helping humankind. On one hand, humankind was a feeble race that required her help. As a god of order and justice, she could not have just stood by and watched them die out. On the other hand, Iustitia had unleashed a race who did not seem to care about her ideals and morals.

When the War between gods broke out, Iustitia helped fight against the gods who attempted to gain ultimate power. She convinced humankind to follow her in battle, promising the humans they would be fighting for righteousness. The humans could not ignore their savior, and heeded her call to arms.

Of course, Iustitia angered Fortuna. Fortuna confronted Iustitia, but Iustitia told Fortuna she had to intervene in the name of justice. Of course, Fortuna disagreed and they were at an ultimatum, and eventually it came to blows. With Fortuna unable to use her powers of the weather against Iustitia, Iustitia was able to pierce Fortuna's hide with her spear, shattering Fortuna's physical form into several pieces. 

Fortuna's shattered body led to the development of gold deposits in the world. All races, including humans, found this new metal, and were immediately transfixed by them. This led to the birth of currency, gold currency. This also meant greed became much more common, leading to more chaos, a fact Iustitia regrets.

It would not be her only regret, as many of the humans she cared so much for died in droves. As most of the battle ready men died in combat, parents began giving up their children for the war effort, influenced by their zeal for their god. This of course meant many teenagers were sent to their deaths before the war ended. 

This time she only had herself to blame for the chaos, for the loss of balance. Iustitia dragged humanity into her war, and they paid dearly for it. As a result, Iustitia soon informed humanity that she was departing from this world to dwell on her actions, becoming one of the first gods to disappear from the physical plane. To this day she rarely communicates with humankind, leaving some to wonder if she had ever existed at all.[/hider]
