[color=powderblue]"Do you happen to know what that sound was?"[/color] The fire was extinguished from her palm as quickly as it came, leaving behind a tiny red smudge, a reminder of what had happened.  She hefted the dagger in her other hand, placing it on the table.
She devoured the pancakes and bacon, savouring the taste in her mouth before draining her drink.  Her horse was already settling in for a nap so she turned back to Ayeka, waiting for her answer.
