[@Penny]Old English is a bit more similar to German, tbh. Though if you like old tales, I suggest [url=https://www.amazon.com/Beowulf-New-Verse-Translation-Bilingual/dp/0393320979]this[/url] version of Beowulf. It's a bilingual edition with English on the left and Old English on the right, so it would help you learn.
