The final bell dismissing students for the day was music to Tora's ears. One day down, goodness knows how many to go, he was beginning to see why his mentor said this could be a daunting task. Probably not the same reason, yet playing nice with the other students was proving to be difficult. Not to mention how terribly boring school was as a whole, he couldn't possibly imagine doing this for that long. Since he truly had no use of the education he supposed he could always drop out and not bother to finish. Would these people just let him walk away from school though? He was by their standards just a child essentially, for whatever reason not quite old enough to make his own decisions. Well it wasn't as though he had any guardians around to do it for him, he was here on his own. His enrollment had been handled by someone back home playing the part of his uncle, and the entire situation then was out of his hands. Regretfully Tora figured he'd have to suck it up and keep attending class, at least until Jocelyn was ready to go with him. It wasn't such a terrible thing, it made watching her easier. But for the single period he could actually watch her and the other five that he had to begrudgingly sit through it didn't really seem all worthwhile. Tora didn't leave any of his things in a locker, he just didn't trust any of the other students enough to do so. Even if his belongings were not all that important it was just the principle of having his effects stolen by someone. Being a new kid he already figured he would be the target of a fair bit of hazing, and while nothing had happened today he was positive there would be hell coming his way. Especially now that he had pissed off that Brendon kid, he mused with a smirk. That guy looked more than ready to throw down, and undoubtedly he'd be hearing from the other boy soon enough. With any luck he'd get to have a little scuffle tomorrow, just to keep himself limber and not get lazy. Walking down the central hall he hurried right along, eager to be out of the building for the day at last. Outside plenty of students were well on their way home, climbing into one of the few school buses or loading up into cars to go home for the day. Not everyone was well on their way home, a few were still lingering around for various reasons. The students that had his undivided attention were Jocelyn and the little entourage she had made for herself. They didn't seem to be on friendly terms, the Princess and the other girls, and it looked like they might start fighting. While normally it would dictate that he should step in for her sake he found himself hard pressed to become involved. Mainly because it wasn't really a life-threatening situation, so there was no need for his intervention. Also though he really wanted to see a cat fight. Propping himself up on the railing at the base of the steps Tora grinned enthusiastically, waiting for something to come of this. Jocelyn wasn't backing down at all, he'd give it to her that she had a bigger set than most guys. Not that the girls she was facing were all that intimidating to begin with. The one she really seemed to be getting into it with was shorter than she was, and scrawny. Her little compatriots weren't much bigger, and they all seemed to be pretty uncertain about getting into this. For having the strength in numbers they were being awfully cautious, meaning Jocelyn must be able to fight fairly well. When the girls grabbed the Princess' arms his face lit up, watching expectantly for the first punch to be thrown, and groaning audibly when he saw it would never come. Well before anything could happen one of the teachers came outside, instantly going to the group of girls and breaking up their confrontation. Tora could feel himself slouching in disappointment at his fun being ruined, almost wanting to shout out his displeasure at that fact. The other girls stalked off after being apparently warned, he couldn't hear from where he was, and soon Jocelyn was on her own once more. Damn that teacher, why did she have to spoil things like that? Perhaps he'd get lucky tomorrow and Jocelyn would run her mouth again, she really seemed to have a habit of that. Whatever had her standing around Tora was grateful for, it gave him a chance to get to her again. She wouldn't have any choice but to speak to him now, unless of course she sulked off and abandoned her ride. Sliding himself off the rail he carefully adjusted his bag over his shoulder, holding the strap as his free hand went into his pocket. Jocelyn was going to go mental with him being there, especially after the nonsense she just went through. Poor girl, today just wasn't her day. Smiling innocently he walked right up to her, stopping just behind her and humming softly as he stood there. Should he be a pain in the ass, or cut her a break? The former was a lot of fun, but he had to bear in mind that she was in effect his boss. If he went and made her life a living hell now he was liable to get the same treatment when she went back with him, perhaps even sooner than that. To save his own skin then he'd reign in his behavior a little, just enough not to bury himself for later. "Well that sucks, your fight was ruined..." Tora mumbled, flashing Jocelyn an innocent grin from behind. "Just for the record, I'm sure you could have totally kicked all of their asses. Those girls don't have anything on you, just a bunch of stuck up wenches if I ever saw one." Freeing his hand from his pocket he ran it through his hair, moving up to stand beside his classmate, smiling over at her cheerfully. "You look hot when you're ready to knock skulls together, did you know that? I was so ready to start cheering for you too. Maybe there's a chance of getting a repeat show tomorrow?"
