Dia nodded stiffly. "And it's scary in there," she mumbled, tightening her grip on his hand. "But I might be able to, I don't know... Maybe I could freeze stuff if it came at us. I'm not very reliable yet, though."

She glanced back at the forest. Maybe her ears were playing tricks on her, but she could swear she could hear yelling and odd sounds coming from within.

"A-are you s-sure we'll be safe, Felix?" She stammered. "I just don't w-want to be a, uh, a burden."

She drew closer to Felix unconsciously, his warmth like a safety net for her nerves.

Dia jumped at a likely imaginary sound. "Can we get moving, please, Felix? I think I'm going to die from fright if we stand here any longer."
