[@Arithmatus] The Bastion isn't necessarily renegade mages as they are a group of mages trying to end their oppression. Fion's Light wishes to remove magic from mages and free them from their "corruption". They are fully accepting of divine spellcasters and sometimes even arcane spellcasters. As long as they accept that The Order will remove their magic as soon as they are able to. We don't really want to limit the players on a roleplaying scale since this is not a Tabletop game. The skills are only those that would be useful in combat and we want to make sure that battling remains fair. All other skills are really roleplay based, so no limiters other than what would make sense to your character. I will admit that we didn't factor in dodging but we wanted to keep physical and magical skills balanced so there are 12 of each. I'll see if we can change one of the physical skills to a term that will include dodging and what it previously stood for. As for magic, all of the magics can carry a multitude of effects based off what you do with your spells. They will just have an elemental tie to them. So if you want to make an illusion made of air that looks like a ghost, go for it, or a spectacle of fire that enchants your enemies, sure, or perhaps using earth to conjure an earth elemental. (Animal magic can create swarms) Additionallly, all of the elements can come from a divine influence instead of arcane and would be represented by your spells and spells that would specifically harm undead would most likely fall under light magic. If you want to negate another mage's magic, you would have to use a spell that is their spell's elemental counter. The magic skills are listed in pairs of counters, light and dark counter each other, fire and water, lightning and nature, etc. [@Rice Porridge] While I don't mind that the slime makes healing a little easier for you, I would like to point out that blood magic can't control blood inside the bodies of others (To avoid OP mages controlling everyone) so you would have to either spill your own blood or spill another's and since you can't bleed it would make it a lot less often that you could actually use your powers.
