[@Atroposer] Penelope is Odysseus' wife... and while she doesn't quite get the best of things during the story, as far as I've ever been told, nothing too bad happens to her. Apart from the potentially traumatising sight of her husband, her son, the swineherd and the goatherd/cattleherd (one of the two, can't remember which) murdering all the Suitors and their allies, even though they were vastly outnumbered - well, at least she got her husband back!
