Cody was never too sure what Gerswhin looked like, when forces turned her into her monstrous forms, never quite able to perceive the forms... but he knew her light, so distinguishable to him, from all the others, often fluctuated, going brighter, stronger, or fading and causing him to worry. He never saw the world as anyone else did, and never really knew how to perceive things with his sighted abilities. Often, it was intuition. But he was, despite everything, human. Even if some percentage of his DNA wasn’t… he was still susceptible to… humanity. But he could see the destruction around her, he could tell that a lot of damage had been done because of the twins… and Gerwshin, never able to really control herself in these monstrous forms, had done the rest. Yet Cody didn’t think any less of Gerswhin. He knew that she was a good person, and that every time this happened to her, she seemed to gain a little bit more humanity… at least, it seemed to him. She always came to his rescue, when he needed it the most. Thoughts of Caits distracted Cody for a few seconds, wondering where she was, and hoping she was safe. As Gerswhin sprang towards him, Cody wasn’t afraid, instead he ducked, rolling out her way, as she went flying towards the hand. He came onto his feet, looking about wildly for a moment, searching for the signatures of the twins. It shouldn’t be quite so hard, what they were would affect their light in his eyes. If they were underground… Cody knew that would be hard to perceive, but he was ready for them. And now he knew he had no choice. He had to take them down. Even if it destroyed him.
