True, one of the bandits had aims on Katherine, but they made the mistake of targeting both Felix's charge and his best friend. 

Instead of engaging the two who were encroaching on him, Felix doubled back, aiming for the bandit who was moving for his friend. "Yeah, gonna have to ask you not to do that!" He said, swinging upward from the ground at the bandit's side.
